Calios lies on a plain with an area of 241.46 hectares. It is bounded on the north by Laguna de Bay. On the east by Santo Angel, on the south by a portion of Bubukal and Patimbao, and on the west of Bagumbayan.
According to some old folks, calios got its name from the Calios Trees which grew abundantly in the place.
During the pre-colonial period, it was believed that calios was covered not only with Calios but also cegons, bamboos, and other wild trees. The first inhabitants of the place were called “ Sepay “ Soldiers from India who were then living at Cainta, Rizal. They transferred to Calios to lock from green pastures. People from nearby places started to move in the place, too.
Calios is growing barangay and so its needs are growing too.
The development of cottage and home industries, putting up to reading centers, organization of youth clubs and the establishment of a school will lift the living conditions and improve the quality of the living conditions and improve the quality of life of the people in the place.
